This has been the best summer ever! We have been able to spend so much time together as a family. I only have one class on thursday mornings and an online class. The rest of the time we have been playing like crazy. We play a lot at our place, the zoo, Red Butte Gardens, Childrens Discovery Musuem, and picincs.
Xidis has been riding his bike all summer and loving it. I taught him how to traverse the stairs near our apartment and he does it all the time. I am working on a video of his crazy tricks.
Elyxzia loves doing everything that big brother does. She follows him on a plastic 3-wheeler and loves to go down the big hills and even tries the stairs when we aren't looking. She is a handful and we get plenty of exercise chasing her.
I took the training wheels off Xidis' bike just to give him a try. The first time he tried for about 10 minutes and wasn't doing very well, so we stopped for the night. The next day I put him on the bike and he was riding all over the place. Now he does laps around the playground at our place. His only problem is that he can't start himself so I have to push start him.
Xidis had his 3rd birthday a little while ago. We had a little party and he got a soccer ball birthday cake. It was a beautiful day, we did water baloons and a lot of fun.
He also recently started playing in a 3-5 year old soccer league. They are so cute when they play.
We recently got a kitchen table (finally). We got it for $20 and we painted it ourselves. I made a couple benches to go with it. The kids had a lot of fun getting messy in the paints, Maggie did too.
