The Ward Luau

We had a church activity about a week ago. It was a Hawaiian Luau. There were real pigs that were cooked up and everything. The kids got to do a little dance that they had been working on and there was a Hawaiian family that came to entertain and dance. The kids loved it. Xidis especially loved the fire dance. It was one of the best church activities we have ever been to.

Mazzie was watching some of the male dancers do a traditional war dance and they were making these grunts and sounds and sticking their tongues out while making scary faces. Mazzie thought that was great and she did the same for several minutes.

Here she is smiling at me after she finished her own little hula dance.

Me and Maggie.

Here's Elyxzia in her costume with her leigh. She just danced and danced all night long.

Even when the kids were done with their part, she kept going out in front of everyone and danced. She just couldn't get enough.

Mazzie just followed her example. Here she has Zoe's skirt on and an extra leigh. She kept dancing too.

Here's Xidis doing his part in the children's dance. He wasn't nearly into it as much as the girls were.

Elyxzia in the kids dance. She decided she would stand in the front.

She even danced during the boys part when all the girls were supposed to be sitting down.

Here's the boys doing their superman pose.

Finally Elyxzia finishes it off with a rainbow. We had a great night.
