What is the deal with me and poisonous animals? So it's about midnight and Maggie and I are in the living room watching TV when a giant Black Widow crawls right up my leg heading for my heart (I'm pretty sure that's where it was planning to strike). I jumped up and started dancing around (I wasn't screaming, I swear) until it fell down on the blanket. It darted toward Maggie, but I tossed a fold of blanket on top of it and gave it a good swat. Maggie pretended she wasn't that scared, but that's only because she didn't realize it was a Black Widow and it wasn't on her leg. I had the heebie jeebies the rest of the night. 
Including the legs, this spider was bigger than a quarter. CREEPY!
Here's a pretty good shot of the red hour-glass mark on it's belly. Black Widow's venom is 15 times more potent than a rattle snakes. Usually people don't die from them because they can't inject as much venom as a snake. It's pretty creepy when you think that Mazzie was rolling around in that same spot a few hours earlier.

I had a scary dream about your family the other night. I don't remember the details but I think Maggie was dying. Good timing.
Nice, Now I have the creepy crawlies. Have you check Xidis' room? He probably has a jar full of bugs and spiders incubating. Do you remember the one we had in a mason jar at Glendale. The thing was huge. It ended up laying it's eggs in the jar before we used hairspray and torched it.
Yikes, I would have been screaming like a girl. Hey, i am a girl. I love the pics below of the kids and Mazzie's first bite. I like the video too. Man, I've got cute nieces and nephews!
First snakes and then a black widow. What's next? I don't want to know! I'm glad after all the screaming was over that you didn't get bit. Please don't invite us over. just kidding. We need to get together again, at our house. hehe
